1st Credit Collecting is a debt collection company which has bought the delinquent account from the original creditor, usually a bank (or in some cases another debt purchasing company) for about a tenth or less of the original value and is attempting to get the full sum of the original from you.
1st Credit Collecting will use all sorts of nasty methods to get you to set up a direct debit or standing order in order to profit from your ignorance of the law. You may already have had bad dealings with them. They may call you on the phone when they know it is inconvenient or even embarrassing for you and do this many times every day. They may send you official appearing nastily worded letters or cards threatening to come round to collect the full amount or that they will take you to court.
